SemperCare is the 2nd largest operator of long term acute care hospitals (LTACHs) utilizing the hospital-within-a-hospital model in the U.S. The Company currently operates 19 LTACHs in collaboration with prominent, market leading medical centers across the United States. In 2000, Marwit co-invested in a growth and expansion investment led by Three Arch Partners. Other investors in the Company include Salix Ventures, CIBC, and Capital Resource Partners. In January 2005, the Company was sold to Select Medical Corporation (NYSE: SEM) for approximately $100 million in cash, at which time Marwit fully realized its investment.
