Solis Women's Health Names New Chief Executive Officer
Austin, TX - April 21, 2009 - Solis Women's Health, the largest independent provider of comprehensive breast care in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Brent C. McCarty as President and Chief Executive Officer. He will also join the Company's Board of Directors effective April 14, 2009.
Mr. McCarty brings a 20+ year track record in healthcare to his position as CEO of Solis. Most recently, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Accuro Healthcare Solutions, a leading health care revenue cycle management technology company that was controlled by the Private Equity firm Welsh Carson, until its acquisition last year by MedAssets, Inc (NASDAQ:MDAS). Previously, Mr. McCarty was the Chief Operating Officer for SemperCare, a long-term acute care hospital company that owned 17 hospitals in eleven states until it was acquired by Select Medical (formerly a NYSE listed company now controlled by Welsh Carson).

Prior to his tenure with SemperCare, Mr. McCarty was Chief Operating Officer of MediSphere Health Partners. MediSphere owned and operated ambulatory surgery centers and specialty hospitals in partnership with physicians and hospital systems.
Mr. McCarty was also a founder and Chief Operating Officer of CareSelect Group, a cardiology-focused physician practice management company. Prior to founding CareSelect, he helped start and was Chief Financial Officer of Keystone Home Health Management. Keystone managed hospital-based home health agencies and also owned and operated freestanding home health agencies. Mr. McCarty is a graduate of Texas Tech University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
